Welcome to the island of Björnö in Västerås, Sweden!

Visit the island of Björnö. Aktivt Uteliv Björnögården is an outdoor activity center located on the scenic island of Björnö, on the outskirts of Västerås. Surrounded by nature yet close to the city, our center offers a wide range of activities and services.

Right outside the door, you’ll discover excellent waters for paddling, mountain biking trails, hiking paths, and during the winter, plowed ice skating rinks and ski trails.

Björnögården was founded in 1942 and has been a beloved hub for outdoor activities ever since. In 2019, we were thrilled to seize the opportunity to take over Björnögården and breathe new life into it as a modern outdoor center.

International visitors…

We love hosting international visitors and are delighted to welcome tourists to our island. This section of the website has been designed as a welcome page just for you!

We are a small company and, unfortunately, do not have the time or resources to translate the entire website into English, especially as we are constantly updating the swedish version with new products, services, and events.

Instead, we recommend using Google Chrome as your web browser, as it automatically translates websites in foreign languages.

If you need any help, don’t hesitate to reach out to us by phone or email. We’re always happy to assist and can answer any questions you may have in English.
